The Story Behind The Lense

Hey, I’m Stef! I’m a cowboy’s wife, hobby enthusiast, mom to a daughter in heaven, lover of all things vintage, and most importantly, obsessed with capturing life.

I’ve loved photographing people, places, and things since I could remember. It’s been a hobby I’ve had up my sleeve for years, and only began putting it to use when I started my own facial business. From there, I took the liberty of doing all of my branding photos and product photography for me, but also for the jewelry store I worked at, Olive Branch Jewelry. For valentines day in 2025, my husband got me a used Canon off of Facebook Marketplace, which later inspired me to soft-launch my photography. Only, I discovered I was pregnant right after, and was too sick to pursue this dream.

Once I gave birth to my daughter, Beau Lainey, in February of 2026, I figured I was set for life, and being a full-time mom was enough to fulfill me, but unfortunately, after 2 months of motherhood bliss, Beau passed away unexpectedly. From there, I had to decide what I wanted to do that would fulfill me, and bring a bit of light into my dark trial. Photography seemed to be the only thing to check the boxes.

Losing my baby has made me realize, now more than ever, how important photos are. I’ve realized there’s no such thing as having too many memories saved to look back on. The years fly by, and so do our most special moments, which is why it means so much to me to be able to capture those life-defining moments for you to keep forever.

My photography style is still-life. I want these photos to look more like your favorite memories than a posed picture. I love flowy, vintage, and a western touch. If you love whimsy, western, and personal photos, let me know, so I can capture your life, because it deserves to be looked back on!
